E-glass yarn belongs to inorganic nonmetal material, is a kind of artificial inorganic fiber, and is the main raw material of e-glass cloth. The manufacture of e-glass fiber yarn is to melt glass into very fine glass filament, and then twist and make into the shape of yarn. There is a variety of industrial technologies used such as machinery, metallurgy, thermal engineering, chemical industry, textile, automatic control etc in the manufacturing process, advanced science and technology is needed, which is one of the outstanding achievements in the development of modern material science. E-glass fabric is woven from e-glass yarn (e-glass fiber/alkali free glass fiber yarn, refer to the diameter of single filament is generally less than 9 microns), which can provide bidirectional (or multi-directional) reinforcement effect. It is an important basic material and is commonly known as "e-glass fabric" in the industry. In the electronic industry, e-glass fabric is dipped with adhesives and composed of different resins to make copper clad laminate (CCL), which is a special basic material for printed circuit board (PCB).
